The Noordhoek Crush 2016 - 15

With so many wine festivals on at the moment, it's hard to choose between them. If you're a Cape Town city dweller looking for an event closer to home, The Noordhoek Crush 2016 will be showcasing the finest wines around, and is just a short 30-minute drive from the CBD. Festival-goers can look forward to sampling many varietals and an all round good time on 9 April 2016 at the Noordhoek Farm Village.

Unlike many festivals of its calibre, The Noordhoek Crush is family-friendly. While you enjoy sipping on chill glasses of Sauvignon Blanc, your little one can have a whale of a time with sand art and face painting.

For the hungry, pop-up food stalls will be selling a variety of nosh, which can be enjoy sprawled out on the grass. If you're looking for a sit-down affair, the local restaurants Food Barn and Cafe Roux will be open for business. Enjoy a hearty meal off the a la carte menu, or a traditional toastie if you're more in the mood for a snack.

While predominantly about the wine tasting, vino-lovers can take the opportunity to learn a thing or two about the fruits of the vine by talking to knowledgeable experts.

If you like what you taste and looking to stock up on your home collection, varietals can be bought at cellar door prices.

Entry into the village is free while wine tasting will cost you R75 - tickets can be bought online.

Enjoy a day of sipping, swirling and splurging at the second annual Noordhoek Crush.
