The Tulbagh Arts Festival takes place on the weekend of the 28-30 September 2018 at various locations in the lovely Boland village of Tulbagh, less than two hours from Cape Town.
Tulbagh is South Africa's third oldest town after Cape Town and Stellenbosch and has always been associated with the 'finer things in life' - art, music, architecture. In fact, Church Street is today the largest concentration of National Monuments in a single street anywhere in South Africa.
In this spirit of 'finer things', the Tulbagh Arts Festival offers a relaxed weekend where classical music, classical cross-over music, art exhibitions, theatre, architectural talks, literature, food and wine are enjoyed against a backdrop of the spectacular Cape Winelands.
This festival presents a great opportunity to celebrate the history, beauty and showcase the talents of the people of the Tulbagh Valley. It also coincides the Spring wildflowers season so several varieties of rare indigenous bulbs that bloom only in this fertile valley can be seen.
