Dune Ridge is an award winning Country House nestled between thick coastal fynbos teeming with a multitude of bird species and large dune fields to the rear of the property. Set on the outskirts of the quaint upmarket village of St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis in the Eastern Cape of South Africa one gets to recapture the romantic mystique of an authentic African farm from centuries past.

The old homestead reminiscent of an old farmhouse takes you back to a bygone era – where you get to experience the breathtaking natural world of Africa merged with colonial nostalgia and modern sophistication, to deliver an unforgettably unique Coastal and Bush getaway.

The house was built in early 2000 utilising local as well as recycled materials. Reed patio ceilings, stone fireplace and walls, beautiful oregan pine flooring and fixtures that still bear the mark of well worn floors from an old school.

The guesthouse boasts a tranquil environment that surpasses any other in the area, with large secure Gardens, beautiful and private swimming pool area for those lazy summery days, Dune and Coastal Forest Walks as well as evening Frog Safaris an In-house Treatment facility as well as Bush Spa there really is no shortage of things to do and see whilst staying with us.

Dune Ridge Country House and its staff are extremely conservation conscious ensuring that the footprint of the guesthouse is at an absolute minimum and practice Fair Trade Principles to the best of our abilities. All produce utilised in the guesthouse either comes from our own Gardens or sourced locally. All our rubbish is separated and recycled and the wet matter all goes into our vermicomposter for the production of organic fertilizer.

6 Double Rooms as well as a Family Cottage this property welcomes children of all ages and the needs of children and families are catered for. Ideal for Honeymoon destinations or a weekend away – please enquire for special rates or monthly or seasonal specials on offer.

The two individual Garden Cottages are privately positioned along the winding fairy-tale paths of our indigenous country gardens.The interiors are a mix of past and present, with modern plush textural fabrics in a calming palette of soothing pale greens

Main House Garden Suite

Offering 60m2, the four garden suites are attached to the main house and are close to all the country house's facilities. Rooms are adorned with dark hued furniture, four poster beds, each individually decorated in rich fabrics.
