Lying along a curve of hill above a wide Eastern Cape river plain, Hlosi Game Lodge is a quiet, grassland retreat offering rich game viewing and 4-star accommodation in a location that welcomes and provides for children.

Hlosi offers four double/ twin suites, two family suites, four luxury tents and four luxury family safari tents. Ranged along the slope of a hill, each suite has its own viewing deck, welcoming lounge and fireplace, and sumptuous bathroom with spa bath and a choice of inside or open-air showers. The two-room family suites offer en-suite bathrooms in each room, indoor and outdoor showers, as well as an outdoor spa bath from which to enjoy your personal view of the Eastern Cape night sky. All suites have air conditioners (hot and cold) and underfloor heating, as well as a mini bar, snack and hot beverage facility provided for your comfort. In addition to these standard features, the comfortable fireside lounge area in each room is furnished with complementary decanter of sherry & a selection of classic reads, making every suite a private haven from which to enjoy the quiet beauty of the surrounding bush. Hlosi’s Luxury Family Tents offer families a memorable tented safari experience without compromising on luxury or comfort. Our 2-bedroom tents have all the modern conveniences, including full en-suite bathroom, air conditioners, electric blankets and minibar. They have three viewing decks offering a 180 degree viewing experience.

Enjoy our fine cuisine in the expanded dining area, under the stars on the deck or even indulge in a truly African dining experience around the fire in our outside lapa. Alternatively, for those guests looking for quiet intimacy, dinner can be served in your suite. After dinner at the main lodge, relax with a decanter of sherry in one of the intimate seating areas in our lounge or step down to the Leopard Bar, to enjoy a nightcap.

Between game drives, guests can laze on the pool deck, curl up in our lounge or in the cool shade of the veranda, with a good read from our well-stocked library, or enjoy the varied bird life and plains game from our viewing decks. Our children’s programme, including bush walks, animal orphanage, supervised swimming and wildlife-related learning activities, ensures that children are entertained and engaged, leaving adults free to enjoy the restful intimacy of the Eastern Cape Bush.

Hlosi Game Lodge has four luxury safari tents and four luxury family safari tents. Our large luxury safari tents are one bedroom and have all the modern conveniences, including full en-suite bathrooms, air conditioners, electric blankets and a minibar. It also offers an open-plan lounge and viewing decks over-looking the African bush. The Luxury Family Safari Tent has two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king size bed while the second has twin beds. A full en-suite bathroom joins the rooms. The tent is built on a raised wooden platform with three viewing decks offering an 180 degree viewing experience.

Hlosi Game Lodge has four luxury suites and two luxury family suites. Our suits offer a private haven away from the main lodge with their own lounge and patio. Our suites sleep two adults, while our Family Suites sleeps four in two separate rooms, both en-suite. Watch breathlessly from the luxury of your spa bath as buffalo meander past your suite to the waterhole, or share your sundowners at the bar with a herd of elephant walking past your suite.
