Overview

Hunter's Retreat Hotel offers accommodation, two pubs, restaurants, function venues and an outdoor dining thatched Boma in Port Elizabeth. Close to Greenacres, Newton-Park/358-0-1-1'>Newton Park and the Business Area.

Accommodation is available as serviced single or double beds per room with en-suite bathrooms. Bed and Breakfast is also an optional extra as our restaurant opens early. Restaurant meals are available throughout the day into early evening and can also be ordered as take aways. Menus are available in all the rooms.

Spacious rooms, TV, en-suite bathroom and private entrance. A variety of a la carte food services and choices are available ranging from the Hotel restaurant menu, Red Moon Chinese Deli and Seafood King takeaway on the premises.

If you are holding a training seminar in one our function venues we have the benefit of being able to offer on-site accommodation. There is an enclosed parking for the guest's cars in a courtyard keys to the gate. Secure park All rooms have separate entrances. All rooms are en-suite. Fully serviced. Dinners can be pre-arranged. Laundry services available. We have both indoor and outdoor facilities available for training seminars, workshops and corporate events. General office facilities are also available as required.

Easy access (via Cape Road) to the hub of Port Elizabeth, which is brimming with shops, cultural attractions, historical monuments, stunning beaches, and entertainment. On the other hand, Kragga Kamma Road takes one to the countryside just outside Port Elizabeth; including the magnificent Maitlands Beach and its mammoth sand dunes, Kragga Kamma Game Reserve and Elephant Walk Country Restaurant and deli. En-route to Baywest and metlife shopping centres.

Guest Comments

I arrived at the hotel, no booking with them. Having paid in full, I was starting to get worried. The receptionist called the manager, who immediately went to see what room she could give me and I ended up with a very nice room 21. However, disappointed in no tea, coffee making facilities, and had to go over to the petrol station across the road to get coffee. No meals either at the hotel, and one has to drive to find such an establishment. The bar was good and friendly. Nice gardens. Was serenaded to sleep by other guests staying at the hotel, who were very good, however was woken next morning by a guests boom box blaring from 05:00.
