The MADIKELA Game Reserve is situated amidst the Waterberg mountains, a mere 2 hours drive from Pretoria.

In this Malaria free Wilderness, one can experience the wonders of the Waterberg,
with amazing rocky outcrops, which are an unique feature of this reserve.

MADIKELA (Place of the setting sun) is situated on a limestone plateau, which was formed millions of years ago. This limestone, which rests on a granite base has in time eroded, forming the most amazing rock formations. The Waterberg lends it to being the most comfortable bush climate in the Limpopo Province.

Madikela Game Lodge offers the perfect escape into the heart of nature, nestled in the tranquil Waterberg Biosphere Reserve, 30km from Vaalwater. This pet-friendly, self catering, peaceful haven is ideal for those seeking a serene bush getaway, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Madikela has 9 charming stand alone chalets, each designed for comfort and privacy. Each chalet has a TV (bring your own decoder and smartcard full bathroom, outdoor braai as well as its own private outdoor covered jacuzzi/splash pool for ultimate relaxation.

The Waterberg enjoys world wide recognition and is approved by UNESCO - the United Nations Education, Science and Cultural Organisation - and has been proclaimed a Biosphere Reserve and is protected by law.

GAME VIEWING
Game viewing can be done either by self-drive, cycling (Bring your own bikes) or self-guide walks.
No 4x4 vehicle needed.

In the main garden there is a Large swimming pool, Baby pool, Large Jungle Gym, with swings and a 18 hole Putt-Putt Course.
