Overview
Montagu Vines is situated in the historic conservation area of Montagu. The main farmhouse was built between 1900 and 1910 and reflects the early Victorian-influenced Karoo-styled farmhouses of that period.
The garden rooms overlook the pond, olive grove and beautiful surrounding mountains. We offer our guests a taste of old-fashioned comfort and luxury in the town of Montagu, on the world famous “Route 62”.
You can relax in the splash pool set in the tranquil Gardens, with magnificent old oak and milkwood trees. Alternatively, you could lounge on the lawns with glorious views of the olive grove and surrounding mountains, sipping a glass of wine.
Montagu Vines offers 8 tastefully decorated garden rooms. Three of these are Luxury Rooms with large full bathrooms and air conditioning. The rooms all have fireplaces for chilly winter evenings and have their own entrances, with either a veranda or private patio, that overlook the garden, pond and olive grove, with the spectacular mountains as a backdrop.
All rooms at Montagu Vines are en-suite, air-conditioned and have satellite television, free Wi-Fi, heated towel rails, hair dryers, safety deposit box, a welcome tray with tea and coffee, a mini-fridge and a complimentary glass of red or white wine on arrival.
In the morning a full breakfast is served in the breakfast room. This is a feast of fresh fruit in season, yoghurt, granola and cereals and fresh fruit juice followed by your choice of eggs, bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms or charcuterie and cheeses.
You may be lucky and see the "resident" owls perched in the old oak tree or meet one of the big tortoises in the olive grove that visit from the adjacent nature reserve.
