A third of the farm is unexplored mountains, which is ideal for hiking and discovering other vegetation and streams.
We coincidentally discovered the Waterfall on the farm only two years ago.
The farm buildings and accommodation have been extensively renovated. The interiors are well appointed with your utmost comfort in mind.
Some of the out buildings date back to the 1860s.
We are ideally situated between the Garden Route, road/route R62 and the Baviaanskloof. A country vacation at its best!
Situated in a magnificent scenic mountain area. For your enjoyment there is a gorgeous mountain road where you can hike, walk, mountain bike or use your quad bike.
Swim in the cool mountain pools, Waterfall or dams. For the bird lovers there are some amazing species to be seen. Home to the black eagle and our national bird the blue crane are frequently spotted here.
Occasionally we enjoy some winter snowfalls sending icy cold weather up north. Located in the Western Cape we enjoy winter rainfalls and much of the Cape weather.
Bo Kouga is the ideal getaway should you wish to get away from it all. Relax, breathe and find yourself again. A great place to just sit and reflect on life, meditate and be at one with nature.

Nearby Facilities - Uniondale is situated just 30km from your destination. The town has its own Hospital and medical facilities.
The Police Station, Post Office, Absa, Standard and FNB Banks are situated on the main road.

Tourists Attractions - Bo Kouga Mountain Retreat is well situated to travel to the various attractions.
Close to the Prince Alfred Pass an alternative, scenic route to Plettenberg Bay and Knysna on the Garden Route.

A newly built comfortable and stylish cottage awaits you. It is ideal for two people. The bedroom is fitted with a queen sized bed with quality mattress and bedding. The bathroom has a bath, shower, washbasin and toilet. The kitchen is open plan and fitted with a glass top stove, microwave, toaster, kettle and good cutlery and crockery. The lounge has a fireplace and leads onto the patio. The patio (stoep) has a built in barbeque (braai) facility. The following are all provided for your convenience on arrival: Firewood, tea, coffee, milk, toiletries, kitchen soaps and towels. Attention to detail offers you a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Enjoy the view, take in your surroundings, breathe in the clean fresh air or study the magnificent night sky.

This free standing cottage dates back to the 1860’s. Stylishly renovated and decorated. The main bedroom is fitted with an antique double bed and wardrobe, with good quality mattress and bedding. The 2nd bedroom is fitted with two single beds and also has an antique wardrobe. An additional single bed is in the lounge area. The bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet has two entrances. The kitchen is open plan with a large gas stove and a fully equipped kitchen. Complete with kitchen table and chairs, microwave, fridge, & toaster. The lounge has a cosy setting with a fireplace – firewood supplied. Barbecue (braai) facility. The following are supplied for your convenience: Firewood (not ideal braai wood), tea, coffee, toiletries, kitchen soaps and towels.

The house accomodates 8 people and is ideal for a family or two families sharing who want a tranquil farm enviroment with a few of the "at home" luxuries. There are four bedrooms. Three en-suite, two with a queen bed, one with a double bed and one with two 3/4 beds. There is an open plan kitchen, lounge, dining area leading onto the entertainment area with a deck to sit, relax and enjoy the views and game feeding.
