Take the whole family on a luxury holiday in Nyati Blyde Villas on the exclusive Blyde Wildlife Estate. This amazing private reserve covers more than 380 hectares (950 acres) and is located very close to Great Kruger National Park in one of the best areas in terms of wildlife experiences that South Africa has to offer.

Exclusive villas
Four kilometres (2.5 miles) of the beautiful Blyde River cuts through the Blyde Wildlife Estate, where the luxury villas are set in a secluded situation among typical bush vegetation. The villas create the setting for a perfect stay. They are all comfortably decorated with large living rooms complete with fireplaces, well-equipped kitchens and large panoramic terraces with pools. All buildings are well connected with paved roads, making it easy and safe to get around the estate. The whole area is walled and there is a guard at the gate 24 hours a day.
In case you would like to prepare some food yourself. There are excellent opportunities to do some food shopping in the nearby city of Hoedspruit. As you can have your own car and driver, it is easy to travel the 12 kilometres (8 miles) to get the supplies you need for cooking.

Comfort and gastronomy
Blyde Wildlife Estate's club house serves as a meeting point for all guests where they can enjoy a drink in the bar or on the spacious terrace. Breakfast is served in Blyde's comfortable restaurant where you can also order lunch and dinner. All the delicious dishes are prepared by the chef using only the best of local produce.


Accommodation and choice of house is decided at the time of booking and it is therefore important for us to know exactly what you require and need. The largest villas have two large bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and private bathroom. In addition there are one or two smaller double bedrooms that share a bathroom. The smaller villas have two bedrooms with large king-size beds and private bathrooms. All rooms are accessed through a shared living room. All bedrooms are fitted with air conditioning and fans. Outside, each villa has a private African Boma.

Blyde’s restaurant
Blyde Wildlife Estate has its own restaurant which serves meals both inside and outside on the large, partly covered terrace. Furthermore, the restaurant has its own Boma which can be used to arrange a Braai, a traditional African barbecue evening. The kitchen is of a very high standard and serves a healthy and filling morning meal every weekday. Gourmet menus and more basic cafe-style dishes are on offer all the evenings of the week. The dishes are inspired by both traditional African and international cuisine. During the weekend the restaurant offers a generous breakfast buffet. In the evening a selection of lighter cafe-style dishes such as pizzas, salads and omelettes are served.

An active holiday
Would you like to make your stay an active holiday with plenty of exercise? Then Blyde Wildlife Estate has the facilities to meet your needs. Our new fitness centre and tennis court have the latest in equipment as well as a personal trainer available every Monday. Make sure you take the opportunity to go for a run around Blyde's beautiful grounds. Finding your way around the estate is safe and easy, and you might even bump into some of the four-legged guests, such as giraffes or antelopes.

The Blyde team
Blyde Wildlife Estate is run from Nyati's Danish Head Office and managed by a South African director together with South African rangers, hosts, guides and other staff.

Our team is made up of service minded colleagues, who aim to do everything to make sure that you have an unforgettable experience.

Your own chauffeur-driven car
In order to be able to offer our guests flexibility during their stay, we can provide you with a car and an English speaking ranger/driver available throughout your stay at Blyde Wildlife Estate. The ranger will meet you upon arrival at the airport and will thereafter act as your private guide and driver.

The ranger is familiar with the area and the sights, which means they will also act as your private tour guide. We have put together a list of suggestions for exciting excursions which we hope will inspire you to want to experience and explore this beautiful area in more depth.

All excursions are booked on-site. With your own car and driver, you can plan your visit in accordance with your own wishes, needs and expectations. Speak to the ranger about your plans and listen to his advice, suggestions and information about the different trips.

Price pr. day for car and driver ZAR 1.900,-. You will need to pay for petrol and entrance fees which may be charged for the excursions that you wish to go on.

Drive-yourself experiences
We have also developed a precise route map for driving in the area, enabling you to find your way without problems, should you wish to experience the surroundings on your own.
