Tintswalo Atlantic is the only lodge within Cape Town placed on the Atlantic Oceans water's edge. Situated just outside Hout Bay off Chapman's Peak drive, within the Table Mountain Reserve. The views of the Sentinel and open ocean are breathtaking at both sun rise and sun set.
The Tintswalo Atlantic suites are authentically decorated to emulate the experiences and colours of various islands of the world. The air-conditioned suites are all situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Each has its own unique view of the ocean and the majestic Sentinel across the bay. The suites provide supreme comfort and privacy, and whale watching is somewhat effortless from your suite at the correct time of year. Spacious en-suite bathrooms with slipper bath, his and her basins and shower enjoy an uninterrupted sea view. Extra facilities are an in-room fireplace, drinks bar and underfloor heating.
Tintswalo Atlantic's daily guest activities can be arranged per individual requirements but guests may want to explore the Cape surrounds or the Winelands on their own; they may also opt for the calmness of a lunch on the lodge deck or to share some cooking tips with the executive chef in the open plan kitchen before an intimate dinner watching the sun set behind the Sentinel.
A massage therapist can be arranged for treatments in the comfort of the suites.
The surrounding mountain reserve has a multitude of paths and walkways for visitors to enjoy.
Helicopter flips over the peninsula can be arranged as well as any Cape excursion.

Whilst we really enjoyed the stay there were definitely some problems. So on 2 meal,occasions we had to send the main courses back and the chef chef admitted that they were unacceptable and redid them - which begs the question why send them out in the first place. At Renee's birthday lunch the garden service guy came in to pack and light the fire whilst we having drinks - something which should surely have been done earlier in the day - the big wood bag was also not exactly attractive. Small things but they count. Did not have the feeling that there was anybody in charge - lots of lovely people around but no one person running the ship which is why things fall through the cracks.
