Mermaid Guest House is situated in the picturesque town of Struisbaai, 5 km from the southernmost tip of Africa. We have six en-suite rooms with sea views on the first floor and two family units sleeping six and four people respectively, on the ground floor.
We have a fully licensed restaurant, comfortably seating 30 people and an indoor braai/barbecue. We also cater for business meetings with a conference facility seating 20 people. Guests can relax in our swimming pool during the summer days or sit in front of the fireplace during the winter months.
We are within a 400 m walking distance from the main swimming beach as well as all other amenities in town. Visit our famous working lighthouse, the historical harbour and the southernmost tip of Africa where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet.
For the more adventurous person there is whale and dolphin watching, deep sea fishing, kite and windsurfing, and the Spookdraai and Rasperpunt hiking trails. We also cater for nature lovers and welcome bird watchers, as well as anyone wanting to discover the beautiful proteas and fynbos.
