Cupped in a giant curve of mountains at the highest point in the Waterberg, lies Griffons Bush Camp at Marakele Lodge. Here the views are forever. Griffons is designed for those who value privacy and peace when they get away to the bush, and is in a Big Five area.

The Bush Camp, Griffons at Marakele Lodge, is set in a fig and acacia forest on the slopes of the mountain, on over 1 000 hectares of Waterberg Bushveld. Here visitors can enjoy many nature trails, from steep and demanding to leisurely and relaxing. Showers are heated by solar energy. A small splash pool, using no chlorine, can be filled on request for guests. Ideal as a base to the neighboring Marakele National Park, or simply as an idyllic retreat, Griffons provides an excellent value bush getaway.

Griffons is designed for those who value privacy and peace when they get away to the bush, and is in a Big Five area. The Bush Camp consists of four 2-bed thatched chalets with shower and flush toilet adjoining each, and a main kitchen/dining area. There is a braai lapa adjacent the thatched kitchen and dining area The chalets have linen and towels provided, and light and power is eco-friendly solar power supplement with lanterns.

It is a beautiful setting. Alois made us feel welcome. It being a bush camp we had what we needed. Lovely hot water from the 'donkey'. You cannot ask for a more beautiful view when sitting at the fire. Great for n larger group to book out for the weekend. Basic but beautiful.
