Oakhurst farm is one of the few remaining, large working farms along the Garden Route. Covering 640 hectares, 200 of which is pristine fynbos and indigenous forest, the farm is run commercially by the Crowther family, sixth generation descendants of the original purchaser, Henry Dumbleton. Our 150 year old blacksmith forge has been lovingly transformed into the idea escape for couples and families looking for peace and quiet and something different
The main bedroom has a double bed. The other beds are singles located in the loft. Beautiful white percale linen and sheets, snug white dressing gowns, handmade quilts and a great assortment of reading books to choose from, the list is endless. A unique bathroom, an open shower overlooking the river and forest.
Farm life for children is the ultimate form of freedom. At Oakhurst we ensure that your kids spend their time outdoors, making the most of what our spectacular surroundings have to offer. From our short forest walks, to visits to the nearby waterfalls and a range of farm animals to keep them entertained, getting them to sleep after a day like this, won't pose much of a problem at all.

WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THE COTTAGES. THE SETTING IS FANTASTIC AND THERE IS PLENTY TO EXPLORE AND DO ON THE FARM. THE FARM AND ACCOMODATION IS ALL VERY WELL KEPT AND MAINTAINED. COMPLEMENTS ALL ROUND TO EVERYONE WHO HELPS IN MAKING THE STAY AMAZING.
