From the 3 spacious balconies, found on every floor, you can sit back and take in the splendid sea views, from Lucien Beach all the way down to South Broom. Enjoy early morning coffee while watching the sun rise over the Indian Ocean. Watch the fisherman casting their rods from the piers or heading out on their boats for some deep sea fishing. After breakfast, grab your costume and towel and hit the beach – The Homestead is within easy walking distance – and when you’re done, head home to escape the heat of the day in your luxury Margate accommodation. Wash off the sand in your suite’s gorgeous bathroom (most rooms have a spa bath), enjoy a light lunch and then flop into an armchair or get cosy on the couch with some good holiday reading. After a nap in a big, comfortable bed with cool, crisp linen, you’ll feel refreshed and ready to tackle the afternoon’s activities. In the early evening, perch yourself on a deckchair on the balcony and take in the sunset and listen to that soothing sound of waves breaking on the shore, while sipping a glass of chilled white wine. Walk to Margate beach, a safe, protected bathing beach, or take a short drive to one of the many other beaches nearby – Ramsgate; Shelly Beach, St Michaels-on-Sea and Uvongo.
Apart from sun and surf, there are shops, restaurants and pubs, diving, snorkeling and activities aplenty for adrenalin junkies.
