Skipskop Chalets offers 3 recently refurbished, fully equipped self-catering units, styled in the traditional Fisherman's cottages commonly found along the nearby Southern African coastline. (each with an indoor fireplace) sleeping 1-6 persons. We are conveniently situated right in the centre of Swellendam. Your hosts Alta & Stephan are more than accommodating and will ensure that you have a comfortable stay. Free Wi-Fi available in each chalet and DSTV.

Skipskop Chalets are under new management and were recently renovated for a comfortable stay. Our Chalets are self catering and fully equipped with an indoor braai/fireplace, microwave, hotplate, bar fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, fresh towels and linen with complimentary tee/coffee/sugar and a fruit basket on arrival. The Lobster Chalet consists of a queen size bed and ceiling fan in room and 2 single beds in lounge area with separate full bathroom. Now also with FREE WiFi and Dstv to keep you connected during your entire stay!

There was no water when I arrived as a municipal pipe had burst. I was offered a 5l of water but it was not given to me, after I requested it more than once. There was only half a toilet paper when I arrived, when I requested another one I was told that there is no more toilet paper. I messaged Alta she gave me a half hearted apology, and said that it was self catering and I have all our need. She offered me a toilet paper but never brought it to me. There was also not WIFI signal in the chalet, only outside the chalet. Alta had some guests on Saturday night and they partied till after 2am in the morning and I could not sleep as they made a racket. I will definitely not be staying at Skipskop again. The tiny milk they supplied in the fridge was off as well
