Nestled in the picturesque Hermitage Valley, and situated just 2km’s outside of Swellendam at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, the area is well known for its spectacular views, tranquility, abundant outdoor activities and pretty berry farms.
Your hosts would love for you to share our little piece of paradise and stay a while in one of the 4 self-catering cottages on our farm.
All cottages are comfortably furnished with all the necessities and more: private outside braai areas, pocket spring mattresses for your sleeping pleasure, free Wi-Fi, complementary 12 pieces of wood, coffee and homemade rusks. Rose, Guinea Fowl and Aardvark have TV's and River, Rose and Guinea Fowl have indoor fireplaces.
Being animal lovers ourselves we allow your furry friends to join you. Please just note that none of our cottages are enclosed and we do hold horses so only very well behaved dogs might apply at an extra charge.
We have a glorious saltwater swimming pool to cool off in and hot tubs for private hire.
There is loads to see and do in and around Swellendam, the 3rd oldest town in South Africa (and once declared a Republic of its own!). We really have it all: Horse Trails, Spectacular Mountain Biking Routes, Hiking in Marloth Nature Reserve, Breede River in the Bontebok National Park, some of the best restaurants South Africa has to offer, in-season Berry Picking and much more.
So if it’s just a quick visit passing through, business trip, a weekend away from it all or a long deserved holiday, Hermitage Huisies would certainly be able to accommodate all your needs.
