Umziki Chalets are situated on a hill with a view of the Jozini dam and Ubombo mountain, 6km from thr launch site for tiger fishing. Close enough to the N2 and deep enough to be completely surrounded by Bushveld and wild animals. Umziki offers a relaxed, kick off your shoes experience with 7 chalets and 2 stands for camping. The airconditioned chalets and under cover stands, have spectacular views of the Jozini dam and Ubombo mountain. From the chalets, the view can be enjoyed from your outside covered kitchenette while being one with nature. From the stands, the view is seen from your private boma, covered stands and splashpool. Different species of antelope as well as warthogs can be seen inside the fenced lodge daily, walking around the chalets and stands, often sleeping on the lawn right in front of you. Other game include buffalo, giraffe, zebra, jackal, hyena, the ilusive leopard etc. Umziki shares a fence with a big5 game farm and lions can sometimes be heard or even seen next to the fence. For photographers and wildlife lovers, a game/bird viewing hide is just a few steps away, right on the Umziki dam's edge. For the young at heart, we have a 58m waterslide as well as a 3m children waterslide that ends in shallow water. We have a zipline for children, very close to the ground for safety, positioned to work with the natural slope this beautiful piece of earth has to offer. Close to Umziki, but not walking distance, we have a bass and kurper dam specifically for our Umziki guests.
Self gamedrives are allowed on the 1000ha farm.
All accommodation is self-catering and the camp has a fully equipped central kitchen and dining area with open view DStv. For outdoor cooking and socializing, there is a boma area as well as 2 swimming pools with deck for guests' use. Wood and ice are available to purchase with prior arrangement.
