The Badplaas “Mountain View“ Retreat is found 7km away from the small town Badplaas in a beautiful valley that is situated on the R38 road from Carolina to Barberton. It is an area of undiscovered panoramic beauty, rich in geological features at the foothills of the Hlumu mountains in Mpumalanga just 3 hours away from Johannesburg / Pretoria.

On the estate there are 7 self service chalets (non luxury) each with a double bed and 4 single beds (3 separate bedrooms), a shower, toilet and basin, fridge, microwave oven, 2 plate stove, kettle, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans and bedding and towels.

Lovely reception and almost tangible sense of peace and safety! Lovely view and gardens well kept. Genuine concern of hosts added greatly to our enjoyment .
For longer stays one might want a couple of armchairs and lamps for softer lighting.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our kids had a ball on the jungle gym and in the pool... and what a spectacular view to wake up to. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and accommodating of our requests.
