Welcome to Ammazulu boutique hotel located in Kloof ; a visionary lodge celebrating the cultural heritage of KwaZulu-Natal, has risen on the edge of the Kloof Gorge, overlooking the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve.

The palace, reflecting on parts of KZN history, is the vision of Durban artist Peter Amm, who has used his entire collection of Zulu art and crafts, incorporated into more than 40 beaded columns of exquisite beauty.

It has been designed principally by Kevin MacGarry of Architects Collaborative, with assistance from the owner, who has been nurturing the site for some four decades.

The visitor to this truly unique destination will be forgiven if he or she felt a distinct sensory overload as there is so much to take in, explore and experience. From the breathtaking view of the gorge to the private Zulu art collection in each of the ten suites Ammazulu Palace is a place that will capture your imagination every time you return.

AmmaZulu African Palace is a unique luxury lodge on the edge of the Kloof Gorge and Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. A truly spectacular venue for you to unwind and experience a special stay in the elaborately crafted and decorated walkways, halls and bedrooms using beadwork and African artifacts.

You can pamper yourself in our sauna or steam room or merely lounge on one of the many decks overlooking the beautiful natural surroundings with zebra grazing a few meters away in the reserve.

All this and more a mere 20 minutes drive from Durban city centre awaits you.

Wireless Internet facilities are also available in all our rooms.

Ammazulu offers a combination of four different types of rooms. Each room is unique and has been decorated with traditional and antique African beads and crafts.

Every room is en suite with a large bath, shower and granite top wash basin. The honesty mini bar fridge is stocked with local alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages.

Home made biscuits awaits all our guests with coffee or tea in the room.

All the suite have there own veranda with a spectacular view.
