Fairbairn Guest Farm is situated 14 km outside of Maclear off the Rhodes Road (R396). The Guest Farm is nestled between spectacular mountains, waterfalls, rivers, streams and indigenous forests - only nature's best. We offer self-catering, bed and breakfast or full-board accommodation and Fairbairn is arguably your most comfortable and peaceful accommodation option in the Maclear district.
The house and Cottage have lovely "stoeps" (verandahs) where you can lazily greet the day accompanied by a well-positioned sunrise, soothing birdsong and mountain-fresh air.
The surrounding Drakensberg and foothills are topped with snow in winter and covered with nature's lushest green in summer. Trout-rich rivers flow through the country side and there are a number of routes for hiking, quad-biking, 4x4-ing and mountain-biking for the adventurous at heart.
