Overzicht

Nestled in-between golden grasslands on the banks of the Bonkolo dam, Suntsani Escape is a jewel in the border region of the Eastern Cape. It is surrounded by mountains, blue skies and the typical grassland vegetation that can be expected in the Eastern Cape, with Aloes and thorn trees dotting the landscape.

Situated in the secluded Bonkolo Basin, 14 km from Queenstown, it is a tranquil destination for people who enjoy raw nature, sunny days and water activities, but still close enough to town for all necessities, including most shops, hospital facilities and restaurants.
There are many activities available in and around the Bonkolo dam, as well as in the local area, with sailing, fishing, bird watching, hiking, game hunting to name but a few.


Suntsani Escape Resort comprises of self-catering chalets and facilities for campers.
We can also provide self-catering accommodation for working teams, with a standard room for the team supervisor and two x 4-sleepers (backpacker’s style) for the working team.

It was a nice quiet place full of nice views but the safety of guests is questionable.The shower drainage system is not good at all as water does not sink on its own leaving the shower unusable for the next person.There is no broom or mob to clean up the floors in case of spills or any droppings.The cleaners must not open the occupied property without occupants' approval.
