Overzicht

Perched on a sliver of sand between the mighty Atlantic to the west and Walvis Bay Lagoon to the east, Pelican Point Lodge asks nothing more of guests than that they relax and enjoy this beautiful setting.

Inside Pelican Point Lodge, which is built into the converted Harbour Control Building at the foot of the lighthouse, all is spacious, relaxed and comfortable – regardless what the Atlantic weather may be outside. Nine luxurious suites offer every conceivable facility with panoramic views of the seascape. Guests are welcome to use the lounge to relax and enjoy a drink and may dine in the elegant Restaurant, or in their rooms if they prefer.

Each of the Lodge's suites has a deck or patio, so that guests can enjoy the antics of seals surfing the ocean waves and basking in the sun, spotting dolphins, whales, Damara terns, cormorants or flamingos, perhaps interrupted by the distinctive call of a jackal roaming nearby, or marine traffic in Walvis Bay Harbour. All these provide perfect photo opportunities during both misty and sunny weather.

But why stay in one place? With over 6 km of sandbank waiting to be explored, there are plenty to see at close quarters. Stroll 2.5 km to the end of the peninsula and discover intriguing small desert dwellers, the huge flocks of playful seals, chanting seagulls and curious jackals sniffing around. A shorter walk leads to the old rusty jetty for a different slant on the seals and birds, and perhaps a picnic lunch. And at the end of the day, watch the dying sun drop ever more rapidly below the horizon in a blaze of glory. Take the opportunity of a lifetime and broaden your understanding and appreciation of the natural world around us.

Ground Floor Suite / Family Suite

All our suites are spacious, decorated in a warm contemporary style and designed to make use of the beautiful views even whilst showering. Both Ground floor suites are situated on ground floor with direct access to the beach. Convertible to family suites. Suite names: The Ocean & The Oyster.

Luxury Rooms

All our rooms and suites are spacious, decorated in a warm contemporary style and furnished with a queen size bed. The rooms are designed to make use of the beautiful views even whilst showering. Room Names: The Lagoon, The Jetty, The Seal, The Pelican, The Lighthouse, The Dolphin.

Penthouse Suite

The former harbour control tower is transformed into the Penthouse Suite (Captains' Cove Suite) on the 3rd floor. Offering privacy, unique 360° views, elevated bath and queensize bed and a huge private sundeck. Suite Name: Captains' Cove Suite.
