Pumula Surf Camp is a beautifully restored fisherman's cottage, situated just a short 300-metre stroll from the breathtaking Pumula Beach. Known for its incredible surfing, snorkelling, and long, peaceful walks, the beach is also home to the historic Nivonia Wreck, waiting to be explored. A private access gate leads directly to a magical mangrove forest, offering even more space to explore and unwind. The cottage has four rooms that can accommodate up to eight guests and features a full communal bathroom, boasting epic ocean views and a massive garden, where guests can relax in a hammock in the lush subtropical garden, watching monkeys play and listening to the tranquil sounds of the ocean and the melodic chirping of birds, with a chance to perhaps hear the phenomenal call of the African Fish Eagle, a truly unforgettable experience. Guests also have access to a shared kitchen for preparing their own meals, as well as a shared living area with reading material, providing a cosy spot to relax or socialise. The owners, professional South African surfer Justin Maisch, along with his wife Hayley, their two daughters, and their three friendly rescue dogs, welcome guests with genuine warmth. Justin is an accomplished surf coach who has trained his instructors to his high standards. They are widely known for their progressive coaching methods, and a stay here will undoubtedly help guests improve their surfing skills with tailor-made surf sessions designed to suit their needs. Beyond the waves, the family is dedicated to creating a memorable and delicious experience for their guests. They prepare incredible meals, including mouth-watering homemade wood-fired pizzas. Their beach breakfasts are an absolute highlight and the perfect way to start the day. Pumula Surf House is more than a destination; it's a chance to live like a local and experience the best of coastal life.
