Almond Valley offers several elegant homes & venue spaces each unique and authentic. The Property Comprises a Victorian Manor House, dating back to the early 1900, Mulberry House situated alongside an ancient Chinese Mulberry tree and two quaint original Workers-Cottage
The Victorian Manor House can accommodate up to 12 guests in classically light & airy en-suite bedrooms. It has a comfortable lounge & dining area with a perfectly equipped coffee & tea station. Mulberry House, the first homestead on the farm draws its decorating inspiration from its old Dutch heritage and comfortably accommodates 6 guests. The Rustic Cottages - Soleta & Sweetheart can each sleep 4 people, with two en-suite bedrooms per unit. Each home has access to a patio for outside dining and a private heated hot-tub. The Manor, in addition has a sparkling swimming pool and outdoor under cover BBQ & Pizza Garden Terrace.
To keep guests comfortable: All accommodation is fitted with generous air-conditioning. During the winter months closed-combustion wood burning fires supply the heating in each Cottage / House. The beds are luxurious and dressed with the best down duvets and percale linens. In the bedrooms, great care is taken offering guests a beautiful experience. Calitzdorp is also known as the Port Capital of South Africa and is situated at the heart of the Klein Karoo, just a few hour's driving time from all the world-class tourist attractions of the region. Located halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), Calitzdorp is the ideal stopover on the way to the Garden Route. Calitzdorp on the Route 62 is known for its wineries. Top-quality wines are produced in Calitzdorp mainly by Boplaas, De Krans, Axe Hill and Calitzdorp Wine Cellar - although there are many other Calitzdorp cellars also producing quality port and wine in and around the town.
