Yzerfontein is renowned for its natural beauty, its artificial coastline, the rocky and sandy beaches and more specifically the Sixteen Mile beach which extends to the Postberg Nature Reserve. Guests can enjoy beach and nature walks, cycling and mountain biking, watching whales and dolphins in season, bird watching, exploring the landscapes from the car, enjoying water sports and visiting the West Coast National Park.
Yzerfontein's small craft harbour is a fisherman's dream and is especially known for his pike and lobster. The village also offers a bakery and a boutique brewery. Yzerfontein is about 99 km from Cape Town.
