Welcome to Tamanini Timbavati, located a stone's throw away from the Timbavati and Klaserie Private Game Reserves. The lodge is set in a beautiful garden close to the Klaserie River. The lodge offers guests, seclusion, peaceful bush sounds at night, fantastic hospitality, and traditional South African food. Tamannini Timbavati- is a lodge close to the gateway to this prestigious private game reserve.

The lodge is located within the reserve so there's always a chance that anyone of the Big 5 may just walk by your chalet. The lodge does have a fence, but only at elephant height to keep them out of the beautiful grounds. Tamanini Garden has impressive towering leadwood trees and expansive lawns leading to the pool and bar area. There is a fire and barbecue (braai) enclosure or boma, while each chalet does have a private "braai" and patio.

There are three spacious family chalets, two of which have two bedrooms each, and one has a capacity for six guests. Each chalet has a dining set up and a lounge area with easy chairs and a coffee table. Most guests will spend time relaxing outdoors on the patio watching antelope and birding. The other accommodation comprises three chalets that have a capacity of two guests each.

All the chalets are equipped with a fridge and stove as well as a microwave. There is a selection of glasses and ice in the freezer. Tamanini also supplies filtered water. The kitchens in all chalets are stocked with all the necessities for self-catering. Some meals can be ordered from the main kitchen at the pool bar and, once or twice a week there is a boma evening with a braai laid on by the hosts. We can arrange a game drive at one of the bigger lodges in the Timabvati or Klaserie Reserve.

Explore nature trails surrounding the area, embark on game drives at the nearby Kruger National Park, and enjoy game viewing in the Greater Kruger National Park. Discover various tourist attractions in Hoedspruit and its surroundings. The location is conveniently situated just 10 minutes away from Eastgate Airport.
