Shayamoya's uniqueness is attributed to genuine hospitality, ideal settings, the challenging sport of tiger fishing where the record is 8.3kg, the variety of other wildlife and birding activities. Privately owned and managed by the Blevin family who have lived in the area for many yeas, Shayamoya exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere. We have two Honeymoon chalets and eight elegant bush chalets. We have en-suite bathrooms and outdoor enclosed showers. Private viewing balconies. Extraordinary indigenous Gardens. Easily accessible from the N2 Highway, on the Golela/Swaziland road.
Activities:
Tiger fishing, game and bird viewing on Lake Jozini. The famous Game Reserves of Mkuze, Hluhluwe/Umfolozi, Itala and Tembe are within an hour's drive. The warm Indian Ocean fishing and scuba diving resorts of Sodwana Bay, Ponta d'Ouro. Cultural tours available. Day trips to the Kingdom of Swaziland.
Children:
We love having children share the bush experience but realize they need more to stay entertained. Puzzles, building blocks, paints and colouring in sets etc. are available on request from Reception. The kitchen makes play dough for your children to get creative on request. There is a menu suitable for children on the ala carte menu.
