The Treehouse is located in laid back, tranquil Pumula (the "place of rest" in Zulu) on a highpoint giving stunning 120 degree sea views. Situated between Hibberdene and Port Shepstone (Durban Airport is 45 minutes away), Pumula has the advantage of isolation, whilst being close enough to everything and anything that one might need.
The local beach is an 5 minute walk away, without having to cross any major roads or railway lines and is very popular with fisherman. The ever popular Banana Beach and Umzumbe Beach, complete with tidal/rock pools, shark nets, life guards and restaurants is within a two minute drive. Hibberdene, with its Blue Flag status and beach entertainment during the holiday season, is just a eight minute drive away.
Activities abound along the coast with fishing, surfing, scuba diving, boat rides, biking trails and hiking and last but not least a number of excellent golf courses. For the more adventuresome, there are many adrenaline inducing diversions within a forty minute drive at Oribi Gorge (wild gorge swing, wild slide, white water rafting, abseiling and horse riding). Next to Oribi Gorge is Lake Eland Game Reserve and within a forty five minute drive down the coast is the Wild Coast Casino.
Set in safe and secure surroundings, fully walled, electronic gates and ample parking, The Treehouse sleeps 8 persons in comfort, offering a choice of 3 bedrooms, all en suite, all on the upper level of the house. Two of the rooms are Double size with stunning sea views, the third bedroom has a Double bed and two bunk beds to sleep a total of 8 people in comfort. The upper level of The Treehouse consists of a deck with braai area, enclosed verandah and bar area with an oak fitted bar and panoramic sea views. The huge lounge and dinning area are snuggled around a yellow wood tree which supports the roof structure. The kitchen is fully equipped, with major appliances of hob, split level oven, fridge/ freezer, microwave oven.
Crockery, cutlery and linen are provided. For hygiene reasons, kindly bring your own bath and beach towels. There is a large TV set in the lounge and we have Satellite, but kindly bring your own DSTV decoder. Rates over Christmas 2020 are R1799 per day, with a minimum booking of 7 nights over this holiday. Out of season rates are R990, 2 nights minimum. The breakage deposit is a refundable R1000. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, the balance is payable on arrival. a once of cleaning fee of R380 is also payable on arrival.
This all makes for the perfect holiday getaway for larger families or groups of friends.

The Treehouse is a private home for self catering accommodation, sleeping 8 persons in comfort in 3 seperate ensuite rooms. Two rooms are Queen size with sea views. The third bedroom has a Double bed and two bunk beds.
