Sit back, relax and imagine this scene.
You are in Africa, sitting under the shade of a fig tree, looking out over one of the world's largest freshwater lakes.

To your right rock pools filled with crystal clear water, teem with fluorescent coloured fish darting amongst smooth ancient boulders.


On your left lies a white sandy beach stretching away from you, backed by pristine forest. All you can hear is the warm waters of this tropical lake lapping against the beach. Out on the lake the silhouette of a fisherman in his wooden canoe passes by as he paddles home with his day's catch.

Premier Chalets: The first is called ‘Nkwazi’ meaning African Fish Eagle and this impressive bird of prey is often seen on the tree in front of its veranda. Nkwazi is spectacular; the setting for this chalet is truly impressive – overlooking the lake with its own unique dining spot named Venus Beach, where guests can enjoy romantic dinners under the stars. Here you can enjoy the stunning views whilst relaxing outside the chalet and you may see a hyrax or two scampering around the rocks. Nkwazi offers all the comforts of the other chalets, with just a little more of everything! Kakoa is named after the White Egret, which can often be seen fishing in the waters in front of the chalet. Kakoa has a secluded location on the lakeshore, and is just a short walk from the main beach. Complete with its own dining area, bathroom under the stars and even a hidden cave tucked away in the bush, this intimate chalet, with outstanding views looking out on to Lake Niassa, is a favourite with guests – providing a feeling of complete serenity with a truly unique African bush experience

Standard Chalets

All chalets are private and have been built to blend with the surrounding nature; below the tree line, using local materials and thatched roofs, with open plan bedrooms to catch the cool breezes from the lake. The chalets are comfortably furnished, using natural materials, with the main feature a large four-poster bed. The outside bathrooms offer hot water showers crafted into overhanging trees and baths molded into boulders and rocks; perfect for star gazing with a bottle of wine. Each chalet also offers an attractive private dining area.
