Bancroft B & B is in Hilton, in the forested, evergreen hills above Pietermaritzburg, the capital of Kwazulu-Natal. With it's beautiful Georgian façade, Bancroft offers 3 extremely comfortable, well appointed, luxury B&B suites, we can accommodate 8 people in a homely environment with a loved garden. All our suites have DSTV, a hospitality fridge, fans & a heater, electric blankets and tea and coffee facilities. FREE WIFI!

A hearty breakfast is the highlight of the day! We serve fresh fruit juice with a choice of 5 cereals or hot oats. A fruit, yoghurt, honey and muesli platter, a full English breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes, or any variation that takes your fancy! . Then, of course there is toast and jams and bottomless tea and coffee. We do endeavour to cater for special needs and preferences. Vegetarian and Vegan meals are happily prepared. Juicing - also offered at additional cost.

The Family Suite has 2 bedrooms, the Master Bedroom with a King size bed and the other with twin beds, both share an en-suite bathroom which has a bath with a hand shower, basin and toilet. This spacious Suite is cool and can accommodate 4 persons, and looks out to the Gardens at the front and the back of the house. Please note....the 4th adult to share the Family Suite is free! : )

The Double Suite has one bedroom with twin beds, and the en-suite bathroom has a lovely large shower, toilet and basin. Facing the morning sunrise this suite has a pretty garden outlook.

The Upstairs Double Suite has one bedroom with a Queen-size bed. This suite has a lovely big en-suite bathroom with a huge bath tub, a toilet, basin and a separate shower. Fully carpeted it has the addition of air-conditioning and pretty views to the forest over the rock pool.

Being in the Midlands Bancroft is central to so many wonderful places. Within an hour you can be in the Indian Ocean or at the majestic Drakensberg Mountains. We cater to the exploring tourist and for the corporate client we are 10 minutes to Pietermaritzburg central or Howick. Private boarding schools like Hilton College, Cowan House and St. Anne's are on our doorstep and easy access for visiting parents. Or perhaps we are just a spot to relax and have a dip in the rock pool.
