HARDEVELD LODGE :
Hardeveld Lodge is a small lodge managed by the owner Fey Van Heerden.( She & her late husband Kobus have been in the tourism industry since 1986 on took the Lodge over in September 2013. ) This Lodge is ideally situated on the N7 Cape/Namibia route , 360 km north of Cape Town in a village called Nuwerus.
It is the perfect stop over between Namibia and Cape Town,a base from which to explore the wonders of the area ( we are in the middle of the Namaqua flower region ) or as a base for business persons to utilize whilst working in and around Nuwerus, or for that week-end getaway.
The lodge offers Camping, Tented accommodation, Self Catering, Bed and Breakfast and Dinner Bed and Breakfast options.
Camping : Some sites with lawns. Electricity points, Ablutions with hot water showers.
Tented accommodation ; Canvas ripstop tents with each two stretchers with linen and two camp chairs.
The lodge has a choice of Self Catering, B & B and Dinners.
The Nest : This is a luxury room with double bed and an en suite bathroom with toilet ,TV, DSTV Aircon. Coffee / Tea making facility.
Tuiskamer Double : Luxury room with double bed, table , open plan bath and basin separated by a screen,Toilet, Coffee / Tea making facility TV & DSTV.
Tuiskamer : This unit is separately fenced with own built in braai. Fully equiped kitchenette, shower , toilet and basin, table, TV.& DSTV, 2 single beds.( Can be made into King size on request ) Pet Friendly
Tuiskamer Family : This unit is separately fenced with own built in braai. The main room has a double bed with shower toilet and basin. The 2nd room with two single beds, fully equipped kitchenette, TV,DSTV , table and chairs.Pet Friendly.
Guest Cottage : 3 Bedrooms with 2 beds in each. Fully equipped kitchen, Separate toilet, shower and basin. Sun stoep. TV & DSTV.
Heaters, extra blankets in all the units. Limited Hot Water bottles on request. Hair dryer on request.
The Lodge has a communal Dining room and a communal Lounge with full DSTV , DVD's and coffee table books.WIFI available in communal lounge .Board games available on request. Swimming pool for those hot summer day's.
There is an open lapa braai area as well as a fully enclosed and roofed braai area for the guest usage. Portable braai's on request as well.
Small selection of mountain bikes for use by guest's.
We have a small selection of provisions such as wood, charcoal, braai packs , milk etc available.
Breakfast and dinner times are flexible as well as arrival and departure time .Meals need to be pre booked during flower season (August,September,October ) and are only served during specified meal times.

What to do: Flowers,( We are in the centre of the Namaqua fower region which occurs during August / September every year ) Succulents ( The biggest variety of succulents and miniature succulents in the world a short drive away from the lodge ), Mountain Biking, 4 x 4 , Scenic drives, Hiking, Relaxing , Wine route and wine tasting ( Olifants river wine route a short distance fron Nuwerus. Lutzville 54km ).54km to Brand se Baai and 75km to the sea side villages of Strandfontein and Doringbaai.
Its the owners mission to give guests comfortable accommodation, value for money and the best hospitality possible. The ambience at the Lodge should be one of a laid back and relaxed atmosphere where guests can feel totally at home. Our repeat guests and refferrals are testament to the Lodge success to date. We do not propose to create an accommodation establishment not fitting for a platteland dorp such as Nuwerus rather we attempted to keep the Lodge authentic as possible from the Lodge colours of Orange & Green ( the namaqua daisy ) to the photo frames of Nuwerus and the surrounds as well as photos of Namibia displayed throughout the Lodge.
Guests are not confined to just their room but have access to the Lodge Gardens and communal areas such as the communal lounge and diningroom and the swimming pool.
Secure fenced on site parking with remote.gates.
