THE BLADES is an exclusive 4 star hotel situated on a 10 hectare expanse of untamed Bushveld. Built on the banks of the Roodeplaat dam, we offer a unique combination of indigenous vegetation, landscaping and water-front luxury.

The Blades is conveniently situated just 20 minutes from Pretoria, 40 minutes from OR Tambo International and 50 minutes from Johannesburg, making it an accessible destination to both local and international guests.

The Blades upper deck and restaurant can seat up to 160 guests. Both the upper deck and restaurant boast gorgeous views of Roodeplaat Dam, lush green lawns and indigenous Bushveld. Exquisite sunsets provide an ideal backdrop to enjoy an afternoon cocktail or simply sit back, relax and take in the sounds of nature.

Our Chefs have created an exclusive menu with a small selection of signature dishes. Success lies in the simplicity of our cuisine. All our dishes are lovingly prepared, using the freshest of ingredients. Whenever possible we use organic herbs and vegetables grown in our Gardens.

Lush green lawns are the perfect place to enjoy a picnic, daydreaming by the water's edge, or trying to identify they myriad of water birds that visit The Blades Hotel.

The bar and lounge with genuine Olympic rowing memorabilia combines a tranquil water feel with a hint of regatta ambience.

The Blades Hotel has a wide variety of room types on offer. All 46 of these rooms(96 beds) boast breathtaking views of the Bushveld or Roodeplaat Dam. With a choice of Executive Suites, Family Rooms, or Double/twin Luxury Rooms, all requirements can be created for. Central fireplaces in our Executive suites add to the romantic ambience.

The Blades is perfect for a countryside, gentle Bushveld or Waterfront wedding and will capture the spirit of love, happiness and celebration on your wedding day. Breathtaking natural surroundings offer an ideal setting for wedding photography to capture those everlasting memories.

The Blades is the perfect venue to host a conference or function, be it large or small, formal or informal. Our venue has a unique ambience with a relaxed and tranquil feel.

The Blades has several indoor conference and function venues, as well as outdoor entertainment areas such as upper deck, bonfire boma and pool with a pool bar. Be it a meeting for 2, or banquet for 300, your conference/event will be coordinated by our professional and experienced staff, with panache and attention to detail.

Whether romancing a loved one, or celebrating a special occasion with friendsand family, be it a birthday, anniversary or party, The Blades Hotel offers outdoor entertainment areas, as well as several indoor function venues. Each event has a variety of menu options to suit your unique requirements.

The Blades offers a diverse range of unique offerings such as out Potstill Brandy Tastings, Whiskey Tastings, Stargazing, and Bonfire Boma Evenings. A real favourite is our "Row with a Pro" hosted by Olympian and South African National Rowers.
