The place was beautiful and peaceful but it rained later on in the day and there was water coming in from the kitchen door we had to use towels just to stop it, that's how bad it was but over all the rooms were nice and clean.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at Gwahumbe!
The Staff are a delight! Nombuso is a treasure!
We took a Mom to celebrate her 87th Birthday there and Nombuso and Team Gwahumbe went out of their way to make it unforgettable and memorably magical! Thanks to the Chef for the surprise Birthday Cake, with candles (but thankfully, not 87!!!).
The Reserve's rolling hills and picturesque landscapes are magnificent.The view from Serengeti and the Main Lodge is splendid. Tranquility abounds.
We selected the catered option and all the meals, except the Sunday night Dinner, were excellent.
We decided to hike to Thirsty's Lookout Deck, in place of a Game Drive, and, whilst it was challenging for our 87 year old, she managed admirably. What a FABULOUS memory for her, especially!!!

The staff were warm and friendly and very accommodating. Gwahumbe takes relaxation and comfort to a different level. The meals provided were simply delightful and hearty as well which made the stay even more enjoyable.

The long gravel roads you meet on your way to Gwahumbe left me wondering if I would be satisfied. Gwahumbe surprised me with an African exterior yet amazingly modern in every corner of its architectural structure. when it was our last day I became so emotional as the breathtaking view of the Riverbend is hard to detach from. it not a place to go just once it so addictive that we are going back in December with more friends. Gwahumbe you are one of a kind. Thank you for an amazing stay and best anniversary thus far.
