Elands Bay offers beautiful West Coast landscapes and wildlife. The area is also rich in archaeological and natural history. Flowers in spring, crayfish in Summer.

Situated a stone's throw from the beach. 10 minutes walk along the beach to Elands Point surf. 15 minutes walk around Baboon Point to Bushman Cave paintings. 15 Minutes climb up to the top of the mountain, affording views of all of Elands Bay, up the coast and inland of Verlorenvlei.


The Berries is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on the South side of Elands Bay, closest to Baboon Point and bordering the dune reserve on the beach. This is the quiet and private corner of Elands Bay, which enjoys the most wind shelter, being the closest to the mountain. The timber log Cabin faces the mountain, with a view of the beach and sunset over the ocean. The cottage faces away from the South-Easter, opening onto a large timber deck, indigenous garden and outdoor fire pit under the stars.


The Berries is a rustic Log Cabin built entirely with upcycled / recycled materials. With 2 bedrooms and a separate sleeping alcove, the cottage comfortably sleeps 8 persons. Open plan kitchen, dining and living room. Family bathroom includes a bath and a large shower. Outdoor shower allows for rinsing off when returning from the beach. Fully equipped kitchen, bedding and bath towels provided, bring your own beach towels. Offstreet parking for 2 vehicles is provided on the property, beneath a roofed Carport. No smoking inside the house.
