Set in the beautiful Bushveld of the Natal Midlands, 10kms from Estcourt and the N3; Slievyre - A private nature reserve provides the perfect place for family reunions, quiet holidays, romantic getaways or just an overnight stop.
The camp sits in one hectare of fenced mature lawned Gardens and consists of five traditionally built stone and thatch chalets. The camp comfortably sleeps twenty five people and extra beds can be arranged if required. Three of the chalets are twin/double, one sleeps three people with the fifth being a six bed family chalet. All have shower rooms and the kitchens are equipped with all self catering facilities.
Fresh bedding and towels are provided for every guest and the chalets are cleaned daily.
Two lapa’s adjoin the chalets, both have tables and chairs and built-in braai fires, they are cleaned daily and the firewood is restocked
Slievyre extends to approx 1 000ha (2500 acres) and is classified as Bushveld. Whilst out walking or driving on the farm, animals you will encounter include Giraffe, Kudu, Waterbuck, Zebra, Wildebeest & numerous smaller antelope. The farm is also home to more than 200 species of birds.
Guests are welcome to fish free of charge, just bring your tackle! All residential guests are welcome to join us for a game drive. Game drives are extra R75pp

We stayed at Slievyre Farm for a family getaway. There was ample accommodation and the facilities were great. There isn't a huge amount to do if you're not hunting, but that's exactly what we were looking for. I'd go back and stay there again.

The beauty of the sunrise was awesome. The accommodation was great...more than I expected...my stay was awesome!
