Serolo Safari Camp is located within the Northern Tuli Game Reserve along the shady floodplain of the Limpopo River, 600m from the river itself, under the many massive riverine trees including the magnificent Mashatu and tall Apple-leaf trees. Tuli Wilderness’ private and exclusive 24 000 acre concession of Botswana Wilderness makes an ideal getaway or stopover point for travellers between Botswana and South Africa.
The unfenced camp offers accommodation in five fully-serviced safari-style tents which have en-suite showers and flush toilets. Hot shower water is supplied from ‘donkey-boilers’. The camp has 220V electricity and all of the tents have two single beds, electric fans and both electric and hurricane lamps. All bed linen (duvets), towels, soap etc. is provided.
There is a central lapa area where meals are served. 3-4 meals are served daily if the full-board option has been requested, and there is a self-service mini-bar in the main lapa (drinks are not included in the rates).
Camp attendants are on hand to help unpack when you arrive and to service the camp. They are available for any assistance that you need.
A spotlight overlooks the waterhole at Serolo Safari Camp and game such as elephants, leopard, bushbuck, bush pigs, warthogs and African wild cats may be seen drinking at the waterhole just below the camp.
Activities include professionally-guided game drives in an open 4x4 game-viewer, bush walks and night drives.
