Kootjie and Isa Viljoen are the proud owners of the De Hoop Victorian Farm House.They decided to take on an inspiring family project with the daunting task of renovating this 6000 square metre property. Having undergone many renovations in the past, the building has now been restored to a stunning Victorian farm house. The house can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests, on a self-catering basis, and boasts modern country living. It is available to book for a mid-week stay or to be enjoyed over a weekend with your family, friends and loved-ones.
The house is centrally located in the beautiful Vigne Lane of Greyton. An easy walk to all the ‘hot spots’, such as bustling restaurants, local gift shops, galleries, The Saturday Morning Market, hiking trails and peaceful rivers for bird watching. The property lends itself to modern farm living. For large groups of people there is so much indoor living space, outdoor areas for children to play and a generous entertainment area shaded by vines for barbecue’s and socializing.
The heart of the house is certainly the tastefully decorated kitchen area. This kitchen has quirky elements enticing one to spend most of your time there. It is equipped with a 6 plate gas stove and electric oven, a fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, coffee machine and all the other kitchen basics. A beautiful 10-seater dining table stretches across the room with windows and doors leading to the patio and garden. The parking space is sufficient, on the property and behind a gate.
De Hoop Victorian House has 5 bedrooms, 4 with en-suite bathrooms. The main bedroom is upstairs with a king size, extra length bed with a full en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a beautiful Victorian bath in the middle of the room, dual showers against one whole wall, dual basins and a toilet. The bedroom offers a lot of natural light through large shutter windows and ample space for a Bride to pamper herself and her bridesmaids before her big day or for any guest to relax with a view.
The second cosy loft bedroom upstairs has two single beds and a view of the garden. The upstairs area shares a large TV room with DSTV. There are three bedrooms downstairs with a large lounge area with a fireplace. The lounge leads out to the garden and patio. The third bedroom has a double size bed with an en-suite shower, basin and toilet. The fourth bedroom has a king size bed, extra length with en-suite shower, basin and toilet. The fifth bedroom has its own private entrance with a queen size bed and en-suite shower, basin and toilet.
