Upwood (109 Walkersons Estate) is a fully equipped self-catering house for the discerning guests wishing to have a luxury holiday away from the city. As you enter Walkersons Estate, the 24 hour security guards will welcome you and put your mind at ease that you enter a safe and secure environment.
Our guests will be welcomed by our onsite staff where luggage will be offloaded whilst enjoying complimentary welcome drinks. Guests arriving on a cold and misty afternoon will be welcomed with log fires in the fireplaces. Our onsite staff will take you on a tour of the house and show you where everything is stored.
The house consists of 4 bedrooms, all en-suite. The main bedroom is situated upstairs and overlooks the estate and courtyard. The bedroom has a king size bed, fireplace and study nook. The en-suite his and hers bathrooms contains a heated towel rail, shower and bath.
The second bedroom is also privately situated at the end of the downstairs passage. It has a queen size bed, dressing table with mirror and en-suite bathroom. The room has double doors opening onto the estate and trout dams.
The third and fourth bedrooms each have twin beds and interleading full bathroom.
These bedrooms open up onto its own little court yard and also have its own separate pyjama lounge with separate DSTV decoder and flatscreen television..
The patio is a lovely double volume area with glass stack doors to open completely on sunny days.
The patio has a lounge and dining area with a wood/gas combo braai and separate fridge to keep your beverages cold. The patio opens onto the estate on the one side and onto the private court yard on the other.
The TV lounge is equipped with a fireplace, flat screen television, DVD player and fully operational DSTV system – no need to bring your own DSTV card. The lush carpet and corner couch are ideal for relaxing in front of the fireplace or television.
The guest bathroom is located between the TV lounge and central dining/lounge area.
The main kitchen has a free standing 6 burner gas stove and the scullery is equipped with a Bosch dishwasher. The kitchen contains all the cutlery and crockery you may need and meals can be prepared for you upon request at an additional fee.
The open plan kitchen overlooks the central dining/lounge area.
The house also has a double garage and laundry.
Babysitting is available upon request.
