Upper Houghton guesthouse is situated in Upper Houghton an exclusive suburb in Johannesburg proclaimed as a (HERITAGE SITE). It has many buildings houses of historical value such as the former President Nelson Mandela’s home. Two of the favorite attractions is Munro Drive which offers beautiful views of the northern Suburbs of Johannesburg, including The Wilds which is an inner-city park in the suburb of Houghton which consists of 16 hectares of indigenous vegetation on the sides of two rocky hills with views of the Johannesburg and its suburbs.
The house gives an ambience of the old-world charm of the Victorian era, with high pressed ceilings and wooden floors. The guesthouse consists of spacious all en-suite rooms, with queen sized beds, and televisions and furnished with antique pieces. It is a comfortable setting that allows one to unwind. One of the rooms also have private courtyards that lead out from the room, where you can enjoy fresh air at your own leisure. There is also a large dining area, and lounge. A TV room also provides additional entertainment with a big screen TV, and satellite. There is also a sparkling pool and gazebo barbeque area.
