Your friendly self-catering family Berg resort

Eland Valley Resort, located in the scenic Southern Drakensberg in the Underberg area, is situated at the foot of the majestic Garden Castle. The 150 hectare resort is bordered by the Garden Castle Nature Reserve (KZN Ezemvelo Wildlife) and the Mlambonjwa River (tributary of the Umzimkulu River). Garden Castle forms part of the Maloti-Drakensberg Park, South Africa’s first cultural and environmental World Heritage Site.

The resort offers 14 modern self-catering log chalets in park-like surroundings. Eland Valley is the ideal getaway for the whole family, fishermen and nature lovers.

Eland Valley Resort's facilities include trout fishing from our many stocked dams and river, a playground and a recreational centre with games rooms. Horse riding is available at Elands Rest Convenience Store, which is about 1km away from us.

There are scenic walks and hikes for both the amateur and serious adventurer. Enjoy the many picnic and tubing spots along the sparkling river. Wildlife (eland, reedbok), guinea-fowl, wild duck and other birds abound in the resort. A golf course, convenience store and restaurants are available nearby.
