Private Game Reserve owned by Kobus Crous Snr from Mossel Bay who also owns Mossel Bay Helicopters. Bergsig is spread over 3,000 hectares consisting of savannah, grass plains, thick Bushveld, mountains and valleys. While there are some of the Big Five mammals, like the Buffalo and Rhinoceros, There are more than 30 different species. For bird lovers, there are over 100 species indigenous to the area. As the accommodation is situated on a farm, we highly recommend guests make use of raised vehicles (SUV's, Bakkies or 4x4 vehicles) when visiting us. CONSERVATION FEES: All National Parks & Reserves charge a fee to finance their substantial management. Bergsig Game Farm is no exception, and also being privately owned, it is up to the owner to maintain all land management and conservation. As from 1 March 2023 each guest will pay a once off conservation fee of R100 per adult and R50 per child under the age of 12. These funds are a necessity to aid us with the natural and wildlife conservation, and goes more directly towards antipoaching and protection of our endangered species, feeding, infrastructure as well as land & water conservation and rehabilitation.

Ideally situated 6km outside Hartenbos on your way to Oudtshoorn - the R328. Turn left at the Matjiesdrif turn-off also "Bergsig" on the gravel road for about 2km. Hartenbos dam is 70% owned by Bergsig Game Farm
