The Glass Deck House is a charming Self-Catering Holiday House ideally situated on The Island in Sedgefield.

Occupying a prime Waterfront position, enjoy uninterrupted views over the Sedgefield Lagoon – ideal for swimming, SUP, canoeing and fishing. The famous Wild Oats Farmers Market and Scarab Market are both within easy walking distance of this property.

Sedgefield, known as ‘Africa’s First Slow Town’, is a great destination for paragliding. The quaint village offers a variety of restaurants and shops, and the popular Myoli as well as Swartvlei beaches are a must-visit destination within the region.

The Glass Deck House offers ample indoor and outdoor space, making it a dream Garden Route family-friendly holiday home. Accommodation consists of four bedrooms, sleeping 8 people very comfortably.

Split on two levels, upstairs comprises the main bedroom which is en-suite and opens onto a private lagoon-facing deck. The lounge, with its cosy indoor gas-burning fireplace, is open-plan with the dining room. Leading off the lounge is a light-filled enclosed sunroom with comfortable seating arrangements and an additional dining table, boasting full lagoon views. There is a separate TV lounge with an indoor gas-burning fireplace, as well as an office nook. The main kitchen is also upstairs and is fully equipped for a self-catering stay. It opens onto an outdoor wooden deck, with stairs leading down to the Gardens.

A large secondary TV lounge as well as a kitchenette, with a washing machine, is found downstairs. The lounge opens onto an undercover balcony, which in turn leads out onto a very spacious, landscaped and fully enclosed garden. This is a pet-friendly Sedgefield Island holiday house.

Additional house features include wifi, smart TV, portable BBQ/Braai, guest toilet, office nook, alarm with armed response and ample on-site parking.

There are, however, rechargeable lights. - Final rental amount is to be paid to the property management company no later than 30 days/1 month before arrival, together with additional fees of R 1500 management fee and R 3000 refundable breakages deposit. For international guests only, the breakages deposit to be paid in cash on arrival, if local residents this needs to be prepaid via EFT. - R 200 in cash upon check-in for late check-in fee if arriving after 18h00. - A maximum of 8 people sharing in 4 bedrooms. Please do not exceed this number on any given night. Please bring your own baby camp cot and high chair with. - Children of all ages welcome, however, do take care of small children at this house as there are no safety barriers on the stairs or railings. Also, there are no safety screens at the indoor fireplaces. Please bring your own baby cot and high chair with. The owners and property management company will not be held liable in any way. - Linen and bath towels are provided – please do not use bath towels as beach/swimming towels. Bring your own beach/swimming towels with please. - Pets are allowed on the property upon prior request only, subject to owner confirmation. Pet policy applies. - This property is not wheelchair accessible. - No smoking indoors, please discard of cigarettes in astray provided and not on the patio, gardens or down toilets. - Unruly and/or noisy behavior will result in an eviction, with no refund. No parties or events are permitted at the property. Please respect the property and your neighbors, thank-you! No loud music or noise after 22h00 please. - Noise policy: The Glass Deck House is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood. We kindly request that loud music, parties or any excessive noise be avoided at all times, to preserve the serene and tranquil setting. No loud music or noise will be tolerated and the owners and property management company reserves their rights. - A cleaning surcharge will be charged should the tenants not leave the property in reasonable condition for occupation or if check-out happens later than the specified time. - The house has septic tanks, only human waste and toilet paper down toilets please and use septic tank friendly cleaning materials. - Housekeeping service is not included - it is optional extra. Please advise us well in advance if you require this service as it is outsourced and subject to availability at time of enquiry. - This accommodation is fully self-catering. Kindly provide your personal consumables.
