Situated just outside Oudtshoorn and en route to the Cango Caves, Buffelsdrift Game Lodge offers it's guests luxury tented accommodation with sprawling views and a variety of wildlife. We are proud to offer our guests unique opportunities to interact with our animals, the most popular being our elephant interactions. We invite our guests to walk, feed and groom our gentle giants, and make memories together as a family.
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is a sprawling Game farm at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains in the Cango Valley. Pristine Bushveld, lush vegetation and a 5 ha dam provides a haven for twenty game species and more than 217 bird species. We are situated 6.5km outside Oudtshoorn. En route to the Cango Caves, the Lodge is in the heart of ostrich country, about a half-an hour’s drive from the Swartberg Nature Reserve.
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge offers 9 Luxury Waterfront tents (situated on the waters edge) & 16 Luxury tents and 4 Luxury Family tents, each one with its own en-suite bathroom and private outdoor shower, air-conditioning, mini-bar, digital safe, tea/coffee facilities and a game viewing deck. We can accommodate a total of 66 persons (6 beds) in our 29 tents either twin or king size beds. Our swimming pool is situated in between the tents for accommodation guests only.
Our lodge is well-known for the many activities we offer that give our guests the opportunity to get up close to our incredible animals, and interact with our three African elephants. To name a few, Buffelsdrift offers morning and evening bush safaris, meerkat safaris, elephant excursions such as elephant brushing, walking and feeding and a lion feeding experience.
Enjoy a variety of African Massage Treatments during your stay at our onsite spa. The Spa @ Buffelsdrift has 4 permanent therapists onsite that are professionally trained to provide the feeling one gets of being in nature with a relaxing and revitalizing treatment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have stayed on longer if time permitted. The game drive was excellent and we saw a wide variety of animals.
