Böhm’s Zeederberg is a small owner-run Country House situated in the picturesque Sabie-River-Valley/532-0-1-1'>Sabie River Valley of the Mpumalanga Drakensberg, South Africa. The German speaking Böhm family have been your friendly hosts since 1975.

The Country House is situated on a hilltop 900 meters above sea level in a Malaria-Free area, close to the Kruger National Park. The Garden Chalets boast panoramic views over the Sabie-River-Valley/532-0-1-1'>Sabie River Valley and surround the centrally situated swimming pool in a 2 hectare lush subtropical garden; filled with beautiful indigenous trees which have been labelled for your easy identification. The garden is a bird watches paradise, with two different kinds of Turaco nesting in the huge Wild Fig trees, to name a few of the abundant birds found at Böhm’s. The 60 hectare indigenous bush farm is alive with varied wildlife: small buck including Duiker and Bushbuck, Blue Vervet Monkeys and Bushbabies, many small mammals like Mongoose and bats, and a myriad of indigenous birds.

The Country House is surrounded by all the major tourist attractions: just a 30 minute drive to the Kruger National Park and just a 30 minute drive to the start Panorama Route including all the waterfalls, God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels, the historical gold mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest, to the majestic Blyde River Canyon. Your hosts offers up-to-date advice on scenic places to visit and walking trails in the area.

Airports are at Nelspruit’s KMIA Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (85km) and Hoedspruit’s Eastgate Airport (120km), with direct flights from all major centres daily. Vehicles can be rented at all the airports and transfers can be arranged to any destination.

10 Individually decorated Chalets are located in the garden around the swimming pool, with majestic views over the Sabie-River-Valley/532-0-1-1'>Sabie River Valley from private verandas. A communal lounge with satellite TV is available in the main building. A safety deposit box is provided and international plug adaptors are for sale at reception.

The Garden Chalets can accommodate 2 guests and are equipped with a minibar fridge, telephone, tea and coffee-making tray, hairdryer, heater and air-conditioner. King-size beds or twin beds are available upon request. There are 5 garden chalets.

The Family Garden Chalets can accommodate 2 adults & 1 child and are equipped with minibar fridge, telephone, tea & coffee tray, hairdryer, heater & air-conditioner. The main bedroom contains twin beds (a king-size bed is available upon request) and one extra bed is available in the open plan lounge for a child. There are 2 family garden chalets.

The Family Garden Suites can accommodate 2 adults & 2 children and are equipped with minibar fridge, telephone, tea & coffee tray, hairdryer, heater and air-conditioner. The main bedroom contains twin beds (a king-size bed is available upon request) and with two extra beds available for children in the lounge. The large bathroom has private access from both the main bedroom & the lounge. There are 2 family garden suites.

The Honeymoon Chalet is located in a private corner of the garden, with a majestic view over the Sabie-River-Valley/532-0-1-1'>Sabie River Valley from its private veranda. It offers a king size bed, open plan lounge, large bathroom with corner bath & separate shower, private toilet and is equipped with a minibar fridge, telephone, tea and coffee tray, hairdryer, heater, and air-conditioner. There is only 1 Honeymoon chalet.

Breakfast
Our English & Continental breakfast buffets offer a large variety of hot & cold, sweet & savoury, meat & vegetarian dishes tastefully presented. Breakfast is served daily in the dining room or on the terrace, weather permitting, from 8am – 9:30am. For those wishing to depart early a packed breakfast can be arranged. Please book this at reception before 6pm the evening before.

Dinners
Enjoy a sun-downer on the terrace in the summer or a sherry in front of our roaring log fire in the lounge in the winter.

Our dining room serves home cooked dinners prepared by the team, with the accent on German, French and African Fusion Country cooking combined with fresh herbs & salads from the garden.
A 3-course Set Menu Dinner is available at R280.00 per person and is served in the Dining Room on request at 7pm. A Dinner Reservation is essential for the first night of arrival. Any special diet requirements will be gladly catered for – please notify us well in advance. A la carte restaurants are available in the nearby towns of Hazyview & Sabie; reservations can be made at our reception.
