Our Boarding House is situated in Randburg, Johannesburg, it offers cheap simple accommodation with no frills at a great price.
When you arrive the bedroom rooms have 2 single beds in them that are clean and come with their own Bedding, consisting of clean sheets, pillows and a duvets or Comforter.
There are no cupboards or lockers in any of the rooms. There is a care taker living on the premises and cleaners there during the day.
Access and security is based on you entering through a digital access gate and finger print unit that you use to open the Turn Style that allows you to enter and exit the premises.
Parking is available in a separated part of the property that is enclosed and has a large sliding gate.

The Porch looks out on a great swimming pool and is linked to the common areas that have couches, chairs, tables, Pool Table and a Dstv Satelite TV. Students like to make a fire by the pool on some nights. Most of the students are from the local Colleges and schools. Many of the students stay for the year or semester while other people stay for a few months.
Our rooms are basic simple and clean they come with their own Bedding, consisting of sheets, pillows and a duvets or Comforter, the Doubles and Twins have lockers.

For day to day arrivals the staff will look after you and will support you getting settled. During normal working hours, day to day customers need just request support if they find someone has left a mess, a cleaner will be allocated to rectify this immediately.

All common areas are cleaned properly once a day, we leave cleaning items available for your use if others have left bathrooms, kitchens and common areas messy. After we have cleaned we expect customers to clean up after themselves. Children are only allowed if under supervision because of the unsecured swimming pool


In the linked middle to long stay section that incorporates student accommodation and people work in Randburg and it�s surrounds. We offer an empty room that you can furnish yourself or Rent a Bed, Bedding, Lockers and Cutlery. Electricity and water is charged for separate. All customers share the common areas. Parking is Secure. Access and security is based on you entering through a digital access gate and finger print unit.

There is a fully functional self-service Kitchen. We request a refundable deposit, for all Cooking items, the deposit will be refunded on return of these items, this is done to insure that the Kitchen and cooking items are cleaned after use when returned.

DISCOUNTS
We specialize in accommodating Large Groups and longer stay travellers; this is anyone that stays for a week or more. We offer different Rates for Daily, Weekly and Monthly bookings, our Boarding House offers contract accommodation with there being a minimum stay of 2 months. Reference Conditions apply.


We have a Backpacker across the road called Accoustix and as long as you are respectful to our customers, you are welcome to come there for support on touring and travel information or just to hang out with other likewise travellers. You will have access to use the kitchens, it�s utensils and other facilities that are on offer to customers that stay in the Dormitories.

Please understand that right of admission is reserved at Accoustix; local customers living in JHB and customers staying for a week or more will not have access to Accoustix Backpacker.

At Accoustix the bathrooms for our Dormitories are like those of a Gym. Leading off from the terraced kitchen, there are separate showers for Boys and Girls that are made up of 4 shower cubicles each; our toilets are situated next to the showers. You will only be allowed to access the main house, the Entertainment area, Common areas, bathrooms and Kitchen.

GAUTRAIN access, catch the Gautrain to Rosebank and then go to our Rosebank Backpacker Branch. On arrival they will call us and we will pick you up from there. (See TRANSPORT)

WALKING DISTANCE FROM OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
Across the road and 100metres up, is a Quick shop for all your basic shopping needs or you can walk 1km up the road to the Randburg Central Business district (CBD).
Randburg is a great centre for a True third world African Experience. It is unlike our standard shopping complexes that are all basically the same around the world. Randburg CBD is a Cobble stoned Boulevard, which runs about 5 blocks, it has banks, shops, discount stales, KFC and a few super stores for buying of groceries etc..,
It is characterized by cheap beer and food. This is where the local�s eat, trade and make merry.
Randburg is one of the student neighbourhoods in Johannesburg, hosting both Local and National students from all over Africa.
What makes this little town a special experience is that it is located in a middle class Suburb, where you get to really experience Joburg life, without the danger of being in Joburg CBD. It has many Churches, Spiritual learning places and Colleges around it. Like Christ Embassy the Healing School, CTI, Boston college etc�


TRANSPORT
For a FREE PICK-UP you catch the Guatrain Train to Rosebank from OR Tambo International Airport or from Rotunda. Joburg�s National Bus Station. You walk 900meters to Rosebank Backpacker or catch the Bus Rapid Transport system towards Hyde Park, on Route RB4 get off at stop number 4. We will send a driver to Pick-you up there.
Accoustix is also on the GAUTRAIN Linked Bus route that�s linked to the Sandton City Station. This is the Cheapest Option for 1 or 2 people to get to Accoustix and Joburg, for more than 2 people it is best to use our Shuttle service.

SITUATED ON 2 MAJOR INTERSECTION
If you hiring a Vehicle at the airport or arriving with your own transport, it is easy to get to the Backpacker as Jan Smuts Avenue is a main artery that runs North from Johannesburg Centre past Rosebank through Randburg over the main highway past 4 ways(Monte Casino) all the way to Hartebeesport Dam.
