Troutways Private Retreat, located just outside Waterval-Boven/782-0-1-1'>Waterval Boven was conceived not only for the sake of fly fishing, but as an escape to fresh air, the smell of the veld and family togetherness.
There are 4 well-stocked trout dams (Rainbow Trout). The safe, beautiful and tranquil environment makes this the ideal place to relax and unwind in nature.

There are four fully self-contained lodges available; Guinea fowl is our Luxury lodge, Homestead Lodge is a huge old farmhouse with views over the escarpment, our smaller lodges Rainbow, & Log cabin is ideal for smaller families or break away retreats for couples. All lodges have DSTV.

Each lodge is rented out as a unit, which guarantees total privacy for you and your guests. The retreat is also particularly suited to executive entertainment. Lodges can be serviced- please arrange on arrival

Each lodge has a fully equipped kitchen and Homestead Lodge has a bar as well as a pool table. All lodges have outside patios with built in braai facilities.

Bedding and towels are provided. An initial amount of wood is supplied, and more wood can be purchased. Also available are horse riding , rock pools for swimming, a canoe, ample bird life and bright stars at night.

Our crystal clear water is sourced from a spring in the mountain behind us.

There are hiking trails, mountain bike trails and rock climbing done in the area, routes accessible from our farm

There are excellent Adventure biking routes in the area, we are members of various adventure motorcycling forums and bikers are welcome.
