Bonamanzi Guest House is situated on the banks of the Steelpoort River, between Steelpoort and Burgersfort in the Steelpoort Valley. The guest house was established in 2002 and is one of the top guest houses in the region. The town of Burgersfort was named after a hexagonal fort built during the 1876-77 Second War against the Bapedi of Chief Sekhukhune and is today surrounded by various mines.
The guest house originally consisted of only 12 rooms, but have since grown to 23 en-suite rooms. All of the rooms feature DStv and an a’la carte restaurant is available on-site. The garden at Bonamanzi is typical Bushveld, with a bit of lush green paradise and the sounds of the Steelpoort River to soothe the mind.

Pathetic service upon checking in. The person that assisted me was not friendly at all. My booking was done a week ago and he insisted that I had no booking. Upon presentation of my proof of payment and confirmation of my booking, With their reference number the gentlemen, wearing glasses, was dumbfounded to find that I had all my information in check. this is the worst establishment I have ever been to and will never, repeat, never use their accommodation again.

Bonamanzi Guesthouse is ideal for a one night stay. Service and food were good. Some suggestions are that they can focus on some housekeeping aspects and general maintenance around the restaurant area.
Serving of alcohol with dinner as an option can be considered. Example: beer with burger or glass of wine with the grill.
Placing of mosquito killers in the rooms, there are many of those guys present.
Some water in the room, bottle water per room will be nice.
