Kastelein is a newly built guest house in Pongola, situated en route the N2 National Highway, halfway between the Northern provinces and KwaZulu-Natal.
We offer comfortable, elegant accommodation for corporate and holiday guests, yet with affordable rates and relaxed atmosphere. There are 5 double rooms, 3 of which will be open for bookings from 31 March 2015, the rest to follow soon. Each room has a private entrance from the stoep, queen-sized bed with en-suite bath and shower; equipped kitchenette, lounging area, DStv and air-conditioning.
Our rates include a hearty traditional breakfast in the dining room or on the patio. English or Continental is also available on request. There is safe undercover parking, a pool and garden area for patio lounging.
The Colonial style of the building is a distinguished landmark in Pongola and the rooms are furnished accordingly. The original homestead which fronts Dr Jansen Street, is home to our reception and dining room and opens to a formal landscaped garden. The guest rooms are set in the quaint backyard and cosy little courtyard.
Kastelein is conveniently situated to provide easy access to the Elephant Coast resorts, vast variety of game parks and farms and King Shaka International Airport.
