At the Kersiehuis Guest House in Ficksburg we do appreciate the comments of many of our guests from South Africa and abroad who congratulate us on the quality of accommodation and hospitality we present. The Kersiehuis Guest House is situated in the picturesque Eastern Free State town of Ficksburg - the cherry and sandstone capital of South Africa - at the foot of the Imperani Mountain.

We offer 8 en-suite bedrooms with beautiful individual interiors. Tourists and business people just adore the snow white linen and bathrooms. Our manager and hostess, Ina van Jaarsveld, is well known for the excellence of the meals presented.

The tranquility of Ficksburg and surroundings is precious as an escape from the hectic pace of city life. Guests prefer to stay at least two nights to do a trip on the White Mischief pleasure boat near Ficksburg and to travel over the magnificent Maluti Mountains to the Katse Dam in Lesotho using the Italian engineered Mifika Lisiu pass. Enjoy your picnic hamper at the height of 3 090 meter above sea level! Ina, your hostess, will supply the necessary information.

Die Kersiehuis is situated in a tranquil area. The guest accommodation is separated from the main house and has an Italian atmosphere. Cherries are everywhere! The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed by Ina van Jaarsveld who is a keen artist as well and showed us the art gallery she started earlier this year.
