Accommodation near Clarens Golf Course - 2

The Clarens Golf Course is nestled at the foothills of the majestic Maluti Mountains and offers a unique albeit challenging round of golf to players of varying skills and experience. The 18-hole, country-style golf course is picturesque, characterised by manicured Kikuyu fairways, lush vegetation, matured willows and poplar trees. Before the commencing of play, admire the spectacular scenery– the sprawling mountain range and the town itself.

While the deceptively wide fairways make play seem relatively easy, the water hazards will keep you on your toes. During play, you’ll have to manoeuvre your way across a river and under waterfalls.

Visitors coming from afar for a relaxing weekend getaway on the estate can enjoy a luxurious stay at the self-catering, two-bedroomed villas. These suites offer you all the amenities you might need – the kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge is fitted with a DSTV bouquet. The outside patio comes complete with a gas braai and overlooks the sprawling valleys as well as the entire course.

If you’re a non-golfer who’s looking to explore the greater Clarens area, there are plenty of attractions to visit. For the hungry, there are sixteen restaurants to choose from; which offer a diverse array of pub grub, country-style food, and gourmet cuisine. Art appreciators can stroll down Main Road, and peruse the numerous art galleries. Additionally, there are numerous walking trails that cater to all fitness levels.

Visits to the Basotho Village are a culturally enriching experience and teaches you the traditions, conventions, and way of life of the Basotho people.

Clarens
Still one of my favourite holiday destinations. So many beautiful, clearly marked and easily accessible hiking trails in Clarens and not too far away at the Golden Gate. The scenery that surrounds you is breathtaking. The quaint little shops, restaurants and coffee shops make this a unique destination.
